people say they love the spring. give me the leaves falling any day of the week over that, over summer, over winter. when i walk and see color, i breathe. i am more beautiful because of the nature of it all, the preparation to empty, to renew, to spend this time in meditation, plotting and planning our next moves. we are cleaning our house, making room for more, for each other, for new steps, for the sweetness that fills the air. i believe this is the time for you and me, for our walk, for things to be as they shall, for the way you hold me hand, grasp it tightly, pull it up to place your lips gently on it, look at me in such a way. when i close my eyes, i lean into you, when you cheer for me, i am warm, when we speak, you look inside of me. i told you long ago, you told me too – we see each other. i look at leaves and i breathe us in.
Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place. ~Zora Neale Hurston
