Gratitude

“Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity…it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~ Melody Beattie

Things are growing here on the farm, from cukes to native mallow flowers to sunflowers to our first vines of coastal hops.

Two pounds of yeast just delivered in the mail (woo hoo!), which means we are not limited to sourdough and things like marble rye are making us very, very happy.

Irises are in bloom and that means the start of flower picking by my husband who’s always good at sneaking in a bouquet of his own making… 🙂

My four favorite ducks (Lucy, Blondie, Betty and Cocoa), the latter three we’ve had since they were day-olds back in the city, who lay the most delicious eggs and are currently eager to get snacks of radish and pea leaves whenever I’m in the garden.
