Summer Holiday: Mount St. Helens

While I’m a Northwest native and our family heard the boom when it blew, not once did I ever make the trip up to Mount St Helens after the big eruption on May 18, 1980.  So my sweetie and I, on our way home from our Seattle getaway, took a detour to check out the big fella 33 years later…and were not disappointed…

lots of fog at the top, but the flowers in bloom and the immensity of it all was amazing...
