Wandering DC (Part I – Monumental)

This is of course why you come to Washington, D.C., in my humble opinion. Third time I’ve stood at the foot of Lincoln and I still catch my breath.

I just am fascinated by columns, I can’t explain it…

It was a miracle that I had this much space to shoot the Dr King memorial – literally 5 minutes later it was teeming with adolescents…

Shooting in the midday sun is never fun so I did a few sepia shots that I kinda dig.

All the quotes were fantastic…I’d have shot more but right after this the deluge of noisy 8th graders began…

gorgeous tribute to the man and his work

view of the Washington Monument from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial…hate to say it but my initial thought of this moment was “FORREST!” 🙂

the Washington Monument is being worked on for seismic stuff…boo…

Sculpture Garden near the White House

my favorite photo of the White House…

…then there’s the shot we’re used to seeing on postcards

landscaping constantly…kind of a rad job eh…
