Salmon, Sunshine, Sauce

This weekend’s greatest moments involved three things:  salmon, sunshine, and sauce.  So, in keeping it simple…


22 lbs of wild Alaskan salmon – via my annual CSA share from Iliamna Fish Co. Marinated some tonight with soy sauce and ginger and grilled over the bbq, over a bed of quinoa and yellow grape tomatoes…perfect.



a li’l latin music  & dancing in front of Good Neighbor Pizzeria around the corner from my house? perfect accompaniment on a sunny saturday afternoon.



YUM – the year’s first batch of marinara simmering with my very own tomatoes, garlic, red pepper & onions.  it’s one of my favorites for canning (recipe by giada de laurentiis – i sub sweet tolles peppers for celery)
